Jack's Story

Hi my name is Jack and this is my story…I was rescued from a Tennessee shelter by my amazing mom. Things were a little bumpy at first as we got to know one another, but in time we worked through it. Every day when mom went to work, I would go to “summer camp” (my aunt & uncle’s farm stand)!! Here my personality really shined.

I would greet everyone that came to the stand and alert my aunt when someone needed her assistance. I worked very hard each day; I helped plant by digging a hole where I was asked and then helped harvest when it was time. I had my own garden too. When a little tomato was dropped, I would take it and plant it. I had tomato plants popping up all over!!!

My claim to fame though is helping a little girl overcome her fear of me, it took me a little over a year but I did it! Eventually, she would come to the stand looking for me. My family says I was a very special little guy (almost human like) and I guess I really was. I did have every one of my peeps wrapped around my little paw.

I have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge but not before my 18th birthday. I now wear Angel Wings and a Halo but come to visit periodically…you’ll know I’ve been there by the tomato plant I’ve left behind.

My work is not done though…
